NASHVILLE — Bridgestone Americas Inc. will raise prices on Bridgestone- and Firestone-brand commercial, OTR and agriculture tires by up to 15% in the U.S and Canada, starting May 1.

The increases also apply to agricultural tubes, bladders and tracks, Bridgestone said.

The company last increased prices in the segment in October 2021.

Bridgestone said the price increase is "in response to current market dynamics."

"Adjustments will be made at the article and pattern level," the company also noted. "Members of the Bridgestone commercial sales teams are contacting customers to provide more detailed information about the changes."

The company did not disclose specific product details.

This will be the third prices increase of the year for Bridgestone. In March, Bridgestone announced a price increase of up to 10% on non-winter Bridgestone-, Firestone- and Fuzion-brand passenger and light truck replacement tires sold in the U.S. and Canada. That increase took effect April 1.

On Jan. 1, the company increased prices on Bridgestone-, Firestone- and Fuzion-brand passenger and light truck replacement tires and Bridgestone motorcycle tires.

The company announced five price increases in 2021.
