NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Americas Inc. has hired Taren Rodabaugh to be its chief information officer (CIO). The move was effective Aug. 31.
Ms. Rodabaugh will lead the information technology strategy and operations of Bridgestone Americas Information Technology function, overseeing more than 300 employees and contractors in both North and Latin America to support the company's drive to become a sustainable mobility and advanced solutions company.
As CIO, Ms. Rodabaugh "will develop and execute the future architecture roadmap and evolve the IT delivery model through partnerships with cross-functional leaders across Bridgestone", the company said.
She succeeds Stefano Mezzabotta, who was CIO for the past three years.
Ms. Rodabaugh formerly worked at Harley-Davidson Motor Co., where she was CIO for nearly three years. During her eight-plus years at Harley-Davidson, she was responsible for digital platform and ERP system modernizations, establishment of key IT performance and security functions and execution of IT organizational transformations.
She also has worked previously at IBM Corp. and Deloitte.

Taren and the IT team will continue to be a key component of our strategy as we leverage technology and data to strengthen our core tire business, accelerate our solutions roadmap and upgrade our digital solutions. Her extensive and diverse technology background will serve her well in this role."
