BKT, CEAT to debut new products at Farm Progress show

BOONE, Iowa — Tire makers will unveil new products and show off their wares at the upcoming Farm Progress Show, billed as the country's largest outdoor farm event, set for Aug. 30- Sept. 1 in Boone.

BKT USA Inc. will showcase two Monster Jam trucks — ready for photo-ops — as well as a large selection of BKT tires and the BKT branded ATV.

BKT's product range on display will include:

• The Agrimax V-Flecto featuring VF technology. The tire is designed to improve the performance of high-power tractors, whereas the IF technology is characterized in the RIB 713, a steel-belted tire for implements. These products can carry heavier loads with lower pressures to help limit the compaction of agricultural soil, preserve the well-being of crops, and increase crop yield, according to BKT.
• The Agrimax RT 855 for tractors, sprayers, and vineyard harvesters. The tire is designed for both field and road transport and provides excellent traction.
• The Agrimax RT 945, created for crop row applications as well as tractors and sprayers, has extreme durability and stability to handle high load capacities while preserving the crops.
• The Agrimax Teris, designed for high-powered harvesters, features excellent traction and high load capacity with extra sidewall and shoulder protection to increase the resistance and life-cycle.
• The heavy-duty transport tire Ridemax IT 696 has a wide footprint with excellent grip and low rolling resistance for decreased fuel consumption. It is designed for high-speed transports while providing great stability.
• The Mud Power HD tire, designed for skid steers and the Snow Ride designed for compacy leaders, both with a special tread design for increased durability.

CEAT Specialty Tires will unveil new 800 series tires and a new radial farm implement pattern at the show.

The OTR/ag tire manufacturer has doubled its booth size from the previous show.

The company said the CEAT Torquemax VF — designed for high-power tractors and offering VF technology — will be one of the highlights of the larger booth. The Torquemax is now available for a larger number of tractors with the launch of the VF800/70R38 size.

CEAT also is developing 850 and 900 series tires — the size IF 850/75 R 42 will be released under the Torquemax range in September.

The company also will display the CEAT Yieldmax, now available in the 800/65R32 size. The Yieldmax offers increased load carrying capacity to support larger combines, as well as high traction and stability, the company said.

"We are very thankful for the reception CEAT has received from American farmers since we entered this market five years ago," said Chief Executive Amit Tolani. "We look forward to sharing news about our new releases and the fact that our company is in expansion mode. We are adding capacity every quarter and are looking at increasing our overall capacity by 75 percent this year."

CEAT is enabling farms of all sizes to take advantage of the latest ag tire technologies, Tolani said.
