DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Pylon Manufacturing Corp., the authorized distributor of Michelin-brand wiper blades since 2004, is extending that relationship with the launch of a line of BFGoodrich-branded blades targeted at the off-roading sector.
Designed for use in off-road driving, the BFGoodrich Off-Road Wiper Blades are targeted at owners of pickup trucks, Jeeps, SUVs and 4x4s, according to Pylon, which markets blades under the Pylon and Michelin brand names.
Deerfield Beach-based Pylon plans to sell the BFGoodrich Off Road Wiper Blade online at offroadwipers.com. The new blades are priced at $79.99 at the online site for a pack of two.
Pylon said it is using "Scrub-X" technology for the heavy-duty blades, which it claims helps clear away mud, bugs, rain, snow and grime, along with "WeatherTread" technology for the blade covering, which is designed to repel mud, rain, snow and ice.
The blade coverings mimic the tread pattern of BFG's All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires and incorporate the BFGoodrich logo in raised white lettering.
