CHICAGO — Belle Tire is opening three retail stores in the Chicago metro market during March and April as part of its strategy to open up to 60 stores there by 2024.
The new stores — in Aurora, Moneka and St. Charles — are in addition to five stores the Allen Park, Mich.-based dealership has opened in the Chicago area since November 2021.
The dealership, considered the 10th largest independent retail tire dealership in the U.S. with 132 locations in four states, has three more outlets due to open this summer — in Orland Park, Romeoville and West Chicago — followed before year-end by new stores in Montgomery and Yorkville.
Belle Tire is offering customers at each new location exclusive in-store deals including up to $180 off sets of tires for the first 60 days the stores are open.
"After officially entering Illinois this past year, we are proud to continue our expansion and serve new communities," Belle Tire President Don Barnes III said.
"As we celebrate our 100th anniversary this year, expanding our presence in Chicagoland allows us to continue to grow our long-standing mission, giving our neighbors peace of mind and the ability to trust we will get them back on the road quickly and affordably."
John Szeliga, vice president of retail operations, added: "Belle Tire is committed to our neighbors and the communities where we do business. Providing financially secure job opportunities is critical to a vibrant and strong community.
"We're grateful to the cities of Aurora, Mokena and St. Charles for adopting us into their communities and assisting us so we could begin opening our doors."
Belle said eventually it anticipates having 1,000 jobs in the area, while generating $325 million in economic impact in the region. The firm is hosting weekly hiring events in the area and offering signing bonuses.
