CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Tire Distributors (ATD) is upping the ante on its charitable donation efforts this year.
The Charlotte-based wholesaler has set a goal of $1.5 million for its annual donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation (GSF), a charity that supports service members, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need with programs designed to strengthen communities.
This will be the fourth year ATD has selected the GSF as its main philanthropic endeavor. In 2021 ATD organized donations of $1 million to the charity.
ATD is encouraging donations to GSF through its "Summer for Heroes" giving campaign. ATD's Tire Pros retail franchise program is participating as well.
ATD said donations will help fund a number of GSF programs, including Mental Wellness, First Responder Outreach, Relief and Resiliency and R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment).
The GSF was established under the philanthropic direction of award-winning actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise, who has been an advocate of the nation's defenders for 40 years. Learn more at garysinisefoundation.org.
