MASHANTUCKET, Conn. — The New England Tire and Service Association (NETSA) will hold its 32nd annual NETSA Trade Show and Convention at Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Mashantucket on April 1-2.

This year's event will feature seminars focused on evolving technologies as well as a keynote speech by Stuart Schuette, president and CEO of American Tire Distributors (ATD).

"NETSA's Annual Trade Show and Convention is the premier event for the tire and automotive industry owners and employees," the organization said. "It highlights the latest industry trends and technology, as well as provides networking with like-minded professionals. This fabulous 'one-on-one' opportunity furnishes attendees with a diverse forum of over 50 vendors to view and assess products, services and information necessary to plan and manage successful businesses."

The event kicks off April 1 at 4 p.m. with free access to the trade show floor for all automotive and tire service owners and staff. The event will feature automotive products, tools, equipment, point-of-sale software and aftermarket wheels, as well as the opportunity to meet one-on-one with several vendors.

Highlights on April 2 include three free training seminars focused on the future of electric and hybrid vehicles and what is needed to equip the repair facility to service those markets.

The seminars will be presented by Craig VanBatenberg, CEO of ACDC, a hybrid and electric vehicle training company.

ATD CEO Schuette will be the keynote speaker during the April 2 business luncheon.

Schuette has led Huntersville, N.C.-based ATD since 2016. ATD is considered one of the largest independent tire wholesalers in North America, with more than 130 distribution centers, including 24 in Canada, serving approximately 80,000 customers.

The trade show will close with the Hall of Fame dinner and scholarship auction honoring this year's inductees: Blaise Pascale of Holyoke Tire and Auto Center in Springfield, Mass., and Bob Vacca, ATD, East Taunton, Mass.

The evening will close with the HOF Auction to help fund 20 $2000 scholarships to be awarded in May.
