LAS VEGAS — ASA Automotive Inc. has introduced the Cornerstone Xpanse, the company's latest version of its shop-management system that was created especially for Bridgestone Affiliated Retailer Network of dealers.
The announcement was made Wednesday, Nov. 2 during a news conference held at the SEMA Show.
Jared Bailey, ASA's Director of CornerStone Operations, said the system will improve the toolset for Bridgestone dealers by "improving their workflows by taking advantage of the multiple tabs, customizable elements and larger screens in the modernized CornerStone program without losing the key features and stability they depend on."
According to ASA Automotive, CornerStone provides an array of tools for automating Bridgestone/Firestone's national accounts processing, adding and updating inventory items and replenishing inventory with direct ordering.
In addition, ASA Automotive said dealers can streamline their process in the shop with the company's new digital vehicle inspection application, also called the ASA DVI app. The app records vehicle inspection results on a tablet, while also capturing images and videos.
ASA said the app integrates with all ASA product lines, including TireMaster, TireMaster Enterprise, GTX, CornerStone, and Yes Prime.
Dave Vogel, ASA Automotive Systems general manager, said the company's customers have expressed a need for a process that integrates with the shop management system.
"The ASA DVI App will address this need and provide a standardized inspection process among all ASA products," he said.
ASA Automotive said the ASA DVI App can record digital inspection results on a tablet, thus eliminating the use of customized paper inspection forms. It said it would help increase shop efficiency by reducing physical interactions between technicians and service writers.
The app also allows shop personnel to communicate with customers, building loyalty and trust.
ASA Automotive Systems provides software to independent tire dealers and automotive service providers, serving retail, wholesale, commercial and retreading businesses.
