BETHESDA, Md. — The Auto Care Association (ACA) is organizing a new event this coming May that will host four association events — the Spring Leadership Days, the ACPN Knowledge Exchange, the YANG Leadership Conference and the PBES Conference — previously held separately.
Auto Care Connect, slated for May 2-8 in Orlando, Fla., is expected to draw more attendees and businesses together and provide networking, accredited educational sessions and trade shows.
The inaugural event will include:
- Spring Leadership Days, which brings together volunteers, association members and professional staff to discuss issues and initiatives currently affecting the industry at large;
- ACPN (Automotive Content Professionals Network) Knowledge Exchange, which brings together content professionals and their vendors and solution partners;
- YANG (Young Auto Care Network Group) Leadership Conference, which brings together auto care industry professionals under the age of 40 for networking, collaboration and educational sessions; and
- PBES (Paint, Body and Equipment Specialists) Conference, which brings together professionals to focus on education, networking and exposure to industry products and services through its Innovation Fair.
Auto Care Connect attendees will have the opportunity to explore each of the four events' schedules for content relevant to them and will be able to customize their participation during the week to maximize their event experience, the ACA said.
"Auto Care Connect is an idea we've had in the works for awhile now and I'm thrilled to finally introduce this unique experience to our members," ACA President and CEO Bill Hanvey said.
"These days it seems there are more moments of division and isolation than there are of camaraderie, so I am very proud that we're bringing something positive to the industry that can serve as a way to unite more people and create even more connections throughout the aftermarket."
The ACA anticipates Auto Care Connect will be an in-person event, but it will monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow the relevant authorities' actions, requirements and recommendations regarding the health and safety of attendees for an in-person event.
