COMPTON, Calif. — Off-roading components retailer 4 Wheel Parts is planning to open stores in Ventura, Calif., and Brandenton, Fla., moves that will expand the firm's U.S. retail network to 105 stores in 31 states.
The Ventura store is located in a former Sears Auto Center on Telegraph Road in the heart of Ventura's retail shopping district. Ventura is a Pacific Coast city of nearly 110,000 residents located about 65 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
In Florida, 4 Wheel Parts has converted a retail space formerly occupied by Family Dollar general store into its retail shop there. Bradenton is a city of about 57,000 residents on Florida's Gulf Coast about 40 miles south of Tampa.
Both new stores have service bays on site, but the company did not disclose how many.
Both stores will host grand-opening events with extended hours on Sept. 10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with giveaways, special pricing and an exclusive sale for customers on thousands of Jeep and truck parts and accessories, with trucks and jeeps on display.
The new stores will expand 4 Wheel Parts' presence in California to 19 stores and 10 in Florida. The business also has seven stores in Canada.
4 Wheel Parts is part of Transamerican Auto Parts, a business owned by Polaris Inc. since 2016, but which is in the process of being acquired by aftermarket wheel producer and distributor Wheel Pros L.L.C.
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter. Financial terms were not disclosed.
