COMPTON, Calif. — Off-road products retailer 4 Wheel Parts (4WP) has opened its 97th and 98th retail stores in the U.S., in Greenville, S.C., and Gilbert, Ariz., and plans to open two more stores before year-end.
The Greenville store, which opened Sept. 25, is a renovated 9,800-sq.-ft. retail space in eastern Greenville, located near the intersection of Interstates 85 and 385 and about five miles from the headquarters of Michelin North America Inc.
It is 4WP's second outlet in South Carolina; the other is in Charleston.
In Arizona, 4WP took over and renovated a facility that formerly housed a CVS Pharmacy in central Gilbert, a city of over 240,000 residents located about 20 miles southeast of Phoenix.
The new store there is 4WP's fourth in Arizona.
The retailer, a business unit of Polaris Industries Inc., did not disclose where the other two stores to open this year are located.
The company, which calls itself the largest retailer of 4x4 and off-road products globally, also has seven stores in Canada and an active on-line sales presence.
4WP sells and installs an extensive line of aftermarket parts and accessories for off-road enthusiasts through its brick-and-mortar store network and online at 4wheelparts.com and 4wd.com.
Among the 500-plus aftermarket auto brands offered are BFGoodrich-, Dick Cepek-, Falken-, General-, Goodyear-, Ironman-, Maxxis-, Michelin-, Mickey Thompson-, Nitto-, ProComp, 4WP-, Toyo- and Yokohama-branded tires, custom wheels and tire/wheel accessories.
