SANTA ANA, Calif. — Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) and the United States Auto Club (USAC) have renewed Yokohama's status as the official tire partner and presenting sponsor for Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USA West for the 2024 season.
The sponsorship agreement will mark its fourth consecutive season.
The Porsche Sprint Challenge North America is considered a stepping stone on the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid North America between the club-sport/club-racing entry stage and the Carrera Cup North America.
The series comprises three classes: Platinum for Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (type 992) race cars; Gold for type 991 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars; and Silver for the mid-engine Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
In announcing the extension USAC President Kevin Miller said his group's one-make championships have experienced significant growth over the past three years, "largely due to the strong partnership between Yokohama and USAC and our joint focus on providing a competitive racing series and value to our customers."
Andrew Briggs, YTC's vice president of marketing and product management, said Yokohama is "excited and honored to continue this thriving partnership and have our Advan race tires once again play a major part of the action."
YTC supplies its Advan A005 racing slicks and Advan A006 rain tires as the spec tires for series, which will feature 14 rounds at seven iconic tracks on the North America schedule next season. The USA West schedule features 12 rounds at six different tracks.
The Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama is part of Yokohama's extensive list of North America-based motorsports activities, both on- and off-road. For more info on Yokohama motorsports programs, visit yokohamatire.com/motorsports.
