The Open Country A/T III is an all-terrain tire designed to deliver off-road traction.

CYPRESS, Calif. — Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has released another all-terrain product in its Open Country line, the Open Country A/T III, which comes with the industry's three-peak mountain snowflake certification for severe snow conditions.

The all-terrain tire delivers off-road traction, Toyo said, with "responsive and predictable on-road handling."

According to Toyo, the new tread compound and designs provide improved wet braking and handling; cut-and-chip resistance; excellent off-road grip; and delivers a quite, comfortable ride.

The tire's staggered shoulder lugs with biting edges enhance off-road traction, the tire maker said. Its 3-dimensional multi-wave sipes enhance wet and snow traction and reduce irregular wear, Toyo said, while its stone-ejecting blocks eject stones from grooves.

The tire will be available in 70 SKUs at launch, fitting 15- to 20-inch rim diameters. The tire maker expects to have 127 SKUs in its portfolio by early summer.

The Open Country A/T III comes with the industry’s three-peak mountain snowflake certification for severe snow conditions.

The tire comes with up to a 65,000-mile limited treadwear warranty (and a 50,000-mile limited treadwear warranty for light-truck sizes) and Toyo's 500-mile trial offer, which allows a consumer to purchase a set of four Toyo passenger or light truck tires from a participating dealer and use them for up to 500 miles or 45 days from original purchase, whichever comes first.

If the consumer is dissatisfied, he or she may return the tires to the original dealer with the sales receipt and the reason for the dissatisfaction.

The dealer will replace the tires or refund the purchase price, including charges for mounting and balancing.

Popular fitments include Chevrolet and GMC trucks, SUVs and CUVs; Ford F Series SUVs and CUVs; Jeep; Ram; Toyota trucks, CUVs and SUVs; and Nissan trucks, SUVs and CUVs.
