RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. (SRNA) is planning to raise prices on select Falken-brand tire lines by up to 5%, effective March 1.
The company, a subsidiary of Japan's Sumitomo Rubber Co. Ltd., also said it will implement "inline adjustments" on a per size basis.
SRNA did not provide a reason for the price increase nor disclose at this time for which types of tires the price increase will apply.
The company said details of the increase will be provided to customers through its sales team in the near future.
Sumitomo Rubber last raised prices on Falken-brand tires May 1, 2018, when it implemented increases 3% to 7% on select product lines.
