LOS ANGELES — Prinx Chengshan Tire North America Inc. has expanded its lineup of Fortune-brand truck tires with a pair of specialty fitments, the FTH102 for spread-axle trailers and FFH 130ET for long-haul steer tires.

The FTH102 spread-axle trailer tire is engineered with a special tread compound that Prinx Chengshan said withstands wear and tear demands. Its arc shoulder design disperses lateral forces evenly, providing protection against abrasion.

A zigzag design in the shoulder groove bottom offers stability for shoulder pattern blocks, reducing fatigue and tread-block tearing, the company said, while stone ejectors and gradient grooves reduce tread cap damage and keep casing integrity. The tire is able to handle high-load spread-axle applications and lateral forces during turns because of its big-bead filler and high-strength rim cushion, Prinx Chengshan claims.

Ken Coltrane, Fortune's vice president of product development and marketing, called the tire a "prime example of our commitment to innovation and meeting the distinct needs of our customers. This tire further expands the value-tier options in the Fortune Tire TBR lineup."

Meanwhile, the Fortune FFH130ET enhanced long-haul steer tire provides durability and is SmartWay verified, ensuring lower rolling resistance, which leads to increased fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.

The FFH130ET is suitable for heavy tractors, with a higher load index and 16-ply rating that supports heavy loads while upholding stability and control for demanding long-haul conditions.

    It is available in two SKUs — 295/75R22.5 load-range G and 295/75R22.5 load-range H — with six more SKUs under development: 11R22.5 LRG/LRH; 11R24.5 LRG/LRH; and 285/75R24.5 LRG/LRH.

The product features a shoulder and decoupling groove technology and groove siping designed to deliver more mileage, reduced irregular wear and better traction. Advanced stone ejectors protect the casing from stone drilling, promoting casing durability. The advanced casing is designed to withstand multiple retreads, lowering cost per mile.

All Fortune TBR tires are backed by a five-year/two-retread warranty.

Coltrane said the steer tire "makes a significant leap forward in tire innovation in our value tier segment. Its unmatched features underscore our commitment to delivering top-tier products that excel in every aspect."

In June, Prinx Chengshan Tire North America expanded its line of Fortune Tormenta LMD FSR103 light-truck tires, adding nine sizes to the product designed for the last-mile delivery (LMD) vehicle segment.
