RICHFIELD, Ohio — Nexen Tire America Inc. has secured a partnership agreement with the NHL's New York Rangers that includes promotion of the Nexen brand Ranger games at Madison Square Garden.
The agreement covers digital dashboard signage, virtual blue line signage and ribbon LED signage, as well as exposure on the digital boards outside of Madison Square Garden, home to NBA's New York Knickes and the Rangers, one of the NHL's "Original Six" franchises,
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal is Nexen's third with an NHL team. It also has sponship deals with the Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks.
David Hopkinson, president and COO, MSG Sports, who oversees global marketing and brand partnerships across the MSG family of companies, called Nexen a "globally present and accessible brand" that "makes for an incredible addition to Madison Square Garden Sports' portfolio of marketing partners."

Nexen will be the presenting partner on select Rangers social media posts, including "Road Game Player Arrivals," in which the brand's logo will appear in photos posted to the Rangers digital accounts.
The Rangers lead the NHL's Metropolitan Division after 14 games with an 11-2-1 record and 23 points.
