DANVERS, Mass. — Maxam Tire North America will unveil its new MS453PRO haul truck tire and three-star MS501 45/65R45 mining tire at MINEXPO 2024 in Las Vegas, Sept. 24-26.
The MS453PRO features:
- Improved design with reduced lug groove length on the tread to maximize footprint and wear for longer-lasting performance;
- A unique shoulder tie bar design to increase tread life by reducing lug deflection and stabilizing tread shoulder;
- Two-stage groove design to boost the contact patch while offering an enhanced self-cleaning feature; and
- Higher ton-kilometers-per-hour (TKPH) rating compared to its predecessor.
The MS501 45/65R45 tire, designed for tough off-road conditions, features:
- Specialized compound for increased cut and impact resistance for extended tire life;
- Deep L5 offset lug pattern for improved traction with high resistance to wear;
- A deep undertread and belt package to protect against punctures; and
- Reinforced construction of the bead, shoulder and sidewall for increased cut resistance and durability in harsh environments.
