DANVERS, Mass. — Maxam Tire North America has added an an all-steel radial series to its off-the-road tire lineup for the construction industry.
The new tires, designated as MS901R, MS906R, MS907R and MS917R, "deliver the superior advantages required for skid steer, backhoe, and compact wheel loader applications," the tire maker said, marking its "commitment to serving customers in the construction industry globally."
Made with an enhanced radial construction, Maxam said tires perform three to four times more usable tread life compared to bias tires, preventing few flat tires.
Maxam said the tires are designed with steel belts, while the radial program provides additional protection from punctures, reducing the threat of downtime.
- The MS901R and the MS906R provide high traction no matter the conditions with an aggressive R4 tread pattern.
- The MS907R has an extra-deep L5 tread pattern to handle rough and rocky terrains while providing a long tire life.
- The MS917R L4's deep block-style tread pattern results in a tough and reliable tire.
Maxam said it has developed this series with durable sidewalls and tread compounds, maximizing wear and cut resistance and delivering a longer tire life. The series features a reinforced bead that directs the sidewall deflection away from the rim, decreasing tire damage and protecting the tire from impacts.
Jimmy McDonnell, vice president of sales for Maxam Tire North America, said the tires are built to meet difficult demands "and further prove our commitment to advancing our construction solutions. Operators will receive a stronger, more reliable solution that allows crews to achieve more on their daily jobs."
