Bridgestone developed bespoke Potenza Sport tires for the Revuelto which features a V12 and three electric motors for a peak of 1,001 horsepower.

BRUSSELS — Automobil Lamborghini S.p.A. will equip its "electrified" Revuelto with a version of Bridgestone Corp.'s Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tire designed for the supercar.

Bridgestone developed bespoke Potenza Sport high-performance tires for the Revuelto, Lamborghini's replacement for the Aventador.

The Revuelto features a pair of electric motors powering the front wheels and a 6.5-liter, mid-mounted V12 internal combustion engine paired with an electric motor powering the rear wheels for a peak of 1,001 horsepower.

The two-door coupe accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, 0.3 seconds quicker than the Aventador it replaces. It has a top speed of more than 218 mph.

The Revuelto features two electric motors powering the front wheels and a V12 internal combustion engine/electric motor combination powering the rear wheels for a peak of 1,001 horsepower.

"Bridgestone has developed bespoke tires for Lamborghini that perfectly complements and enhances the Revuelto's character," according to Steven De Bock, vice president consumer replacement and OE at Bridgestone Europe/Middle East/Asia.

"We've created tires that deliver the handling attributes necessary for a high-powered vehicle, along with run-flat technology (RFT), without compromising on performance."

The Lamborghini Revuelto replaces the Aventador.

RFT enables drivers to continue driving safely after a puncture for 50 miles at 50 mph with 0-bar pressure, Bridgestone said.

The Revuelto also features a bespoke Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 as a winter tire option.

"This partnership on the new Revuelto continues our strong collaboration with Bridgestone on our super cars, following the recent development of custom-engineered Bridgestone tires for Huracán STO, EVO, Tecnica and Sterrato models," Cristian Mastro, marketing director at Lamborghini, said.

Manufactured at Bridgestone's Bari, Italy, plant, the tires for the Revuelto were designed and tested at the company's European R&D center in Rome and utilized Bridgestone's Virtual Tire Development technology.

Bridgestone developed bespoke Potenza Sport high-performance tires for the Revuelto, Lamborghini's replacement for the Aventador.

Lamborghini is offering two fitment options for Revuelto: either 265/35 ZRF20 on the front axle and 345/30 ZRF21 on the rear axle; or 265/30 ZRF21 on the front and 355/25 ZRF22 on the rear.

Bridgestone also developed a "performance combination" as well, which features size 265/35 ZR20 on the front and 345/30 ZR21 Potenza Sport (tubeless version) on the rear. This option is not RFT rated.

Bridgestone's Blizzak LM005 tires are available as an after-sales winter option and features sizes 265/35 R20 on the front axle and 345/30 R21 on rear axle.

This fitment complements Bridgestone's OE relationship with Lamborghini, which includes custom-designed UHP tires for the car maker's Huracán STO, EVO, Tecnica and Sterrato models.

The Potenza Sport line is Bridgestone's flagship UHP tire designed to meet the needs of the global high-performance market. The base-line version of the Potenza Sport features an symmetrical tread design, new reinforcement technology and "optimized" carcass maximise stability for controlled cornering precision and increased steering response.
