NEU-ISENBURG, Germany — The sanctioning body for the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) has extended its race tire supply contract with Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. through 2023.
Hankook has supplied the DTM, considered the premier touring car racing series in Europe, since 2011 with Ventus racing tires. Manufacturers competing in the 2019 season are Audi G.m.b.H., BMW G.m.b.H. and Aston Martin Lagonda Holdings P.L.C.
Financial terms of the new deal, with ITR G.m.b.H., were not disclosed. The current deal was set to expire are the end of this season.
ITR Chairman Gerhard Berger said the extension "reflects the trusted and professional co-operation that exists between the two parties."
