FORT MILL, S.C. — Continental Tire the Americas Inc. has introduced the General G-Max AS07, an all-season, ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire for passenger cars, crossovers, light trucks and SUVs.
The new product replaces the existing G-Max AS05 and Grabber UHP in the General Tire lineup, combining them into one "power line," the tire maker said. The tire offers braking and traction improvements over the products it's replacing, Continental claims.
"We are excited to build on the legacy of the G-Max AS05 by introducing the new and improved G-Max AS07," Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire, said. "With the improved performance and new size offerings, we are confident that the G-Max AS07 will truly deliver for our performance-driven customers."
Developed for improved all-season traction and long treadwear, the tire features Conti's Replacement Tire Monitor and Visual Alignment Indicators in the tread blocks, which aid in detecting tire wear.
The tire also offers improved wet and dry braking, snow traction and low road noise over the predecessor, the company said.
The G-Max AS07 is available in 77 sizes, covering rim diameters of 16 to 24 inches, and is backed by a 50,000-mile limited treadwear warranty and 45-day trial period.
