MAGOG, Quebec — Off-road tire maker Camso Inc. has launched an all-purpose bias agriculture/industrial tire, the MPT 732, that the company said was engineered to meet the requirements of the Europe, Middle East and Africa market.
The MPT 732, part of the company's multi-purpose lineup, has newer tread compounds and features void guards, which increase puncture and impact resistance, improving tire durability and tread life, according to Lander Nijs, product manager tires, EMEA – construction.
"These features come as a result of a recent study we carried out, which showed that most off-the-road tires on the market fail prematurely, so customers don't get their full value." Mr. Nijs said. "At Camso, our focus is on durability to ensure tires reach their natural end of life."
The tire is available in eight different sizes, for machinery such as compact wheel loaders, telehandlers and backhoe loaders. Camso said the tire is designed to work on variety of surface conditions, from clearing snow to excavation to farm work, with each condition demanding traction, stability, durability and ride quality.
According to Camso, the MPT 732 features:
- Extra thick void guard, between the tread lugs, to provide additional protection for enhanced durability;
- Impact guard to increase sidewall and rim flange protection;
- Wraparound stepped tread design to maximize tread cleanout, optimizing performance in soft conditions; and
- Heavy-duty sidewall for enhanced sidewall and rim flange protection, reducing impact damage, flat tires and shortened tire life.
"Our challenge is always to offer the right solution for the application," Mr. Nijs said. "The MPT 732 really meets all of our customer requirements, not just for today, but their needs for tomorrow as well."
The MPT 732 is available in the EMEA and soon will be available in the Asia Pacific region.
