BFGoodrich rolling out new UHP tire g-Force Phenom T/A

GREENVILLE, S.C. —  Michelin North America Inc.’s BFGoodrich Tires brand is adding a "competively priced" ultra-high-performance (UHP) summer tire — the g-Force Phenom T/A — to the BFG g-Force tire family.

The Phenom is designed for drivers "who want to extract the maximum potential from their performance-oriented vehicle," Michelin said, noting it's designed to be a blend of high performance and aesthetics.

The Phenom fits between the existing Comp-2 A/S Plus all-season UHP tire and the Rival S — an extreme UHP tire designed track use and autocross — in the g-Force lineup.

The first 20 sizes, covering 16- to 20-inch rim diameters, from 205/55ZR16XL to 245/35ZR20XL, fit the most popular performance and tuner vehicle fitments.

BFG will add 30 more sizes in April with plans for additional sizes later in 2025 and in spring 2026. Pricing is "competitive" with other tires in the same class, Michelin said, "giving consumers 'outstanding' performance at an affordable price."

According to BFGoodrich, the g-Force Phenom T/A has stiff sidewalls, shallow shoulder blocks and offset shoulder grooves for better cornering; a dual-zone tread design optimized for wet and dry conditions; and a silica-infused compound for wet grip and braking.

The g-Force Phenom T/A comes with a 60-day consumer satisfaction guarantee and is the official tire of the Skip Barber Racing School.
