GREENVILLE, S.C. — Michelin North America Inc.'s BFGoodrich brand will continue as the title sponsor of the Mint 400 — "The Great American Off-Road Race" — this year for the eighth straight year.
The race, which organizers said requires both speed and endurance from vehicles and drivers, will be held March 8-9 in and around Primm, Nev.
"The Mint 400 is a grueling test of both driver and vehicle, and we're proud to be the tire of choice for many teams competing in this iconic race," Jason Anzalone, North American motorsports director for BFGoodrich said.
"BFGoodrich tires are designed and engineered to handle the toughest conditions, and we're confident that they will help our partners achieve their goals on race day."
The Mint 400 course winds through the Nevada desert with a challenging mix of sand, rocks and other obstacles. The event has a variety of classes, from the high-powered unlimited trucks to UTVs and Jeeps.
In addition to its role as presenting sponsor, BFG is looking for a 12th consecutive overall win at the Mint 400. Eric Hardin took the overall victory last year on BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3 tires. The racer is aiming to defend his 2023 title in the unlimited truck race.
BFG has been the title sponsor of the Mint 400 series since 2017 and has been involved in the race since the event's debut in 1968. BFGoodrich-equipped teams have won the event more times than any other tire brand, the brand said.
