STOW, Ohio — Mahansaria Tyres Pvt. Ltd. is adding another Ascenso-branded agricultural tire to its North America lineup, the VDR 900 (VF) radial tire, designed for machines such self-propelled sprayers, tractors and straddle-row dual wheels and row crops.
According to Ascenso Tires North America, the VDR 900 tires use VF (very high flexion) technology along with high-performance steel belted tires, which maximize the tire's flat footprint for optimal weight distribution, reduced soil compaction and maintained crop yield.
The Stow-based subsidiary of India's Mahansaria Tyres said the VDR 900 can withstand 40% more load at the same inflation pressure compared with conventional radials, or operate at 40% less pressure while carrying the same weight as traditional radials.
Ascenso said this allows self-propelled sprayers to handle heavier loads or reduce their impact on the soil by operating at lower pressures, leading to increased efficiency and improved productivity.
The lugs on the new product provide enhanced traction and self-cleaning characteristics, the company said, reducing slippage and resulting in lower fuel consumption. The larger contact patch created by the stronger lugs enhances productivity in agricultural machinery.
The high-performance steel-belted construction is designed to dissipate heat, resist punctures and repel stubble. The tires have a mud breaker on the lugs for effective self-cleaning properties.
The VDR 900 (VF) tires provide driving comfort and stability on the road, according to Ascenso. They have a D speed index, suitable for speeds of up to 40 mph.
The VDR 900 (VF) tires are available in 11 sizes: VF 580/85R42; VF 380/90R46; VF 520/85R46; VF 320/90R50; VF 380/90R50; VF 380/105R50; VF 420/95R50; VF 480/80R50; VF 480/95R50; VF 320/90R54; and VF 380/105R54.
Late last year, Tyres International, a tire importer and distributor for the past 50-plus years, changed its name to Ascenso Tires North America to reflect its operating status since being acquired in mid-2021 by India's Mahansaria Tyres.
Ascenso is the brand name that Mahansaria Tyres uses in North America for its range of agriculture, industrial, construction, earthmover, materials-handling and forestry tires it produces at its factory in Panoli, India.
Mahansaria Tyres has added 350-plus tire sizes to the portfolio of products available in North America over the last year.
In addition to the Ascenso product range, Ascenso Tires North America imports and distributes a number of other tire brands, including ZC Rubber Group's Westlake commercial truck, bus and trailer tires along with Sunrise steel and aluminum truck and trailer wheels
Ascenso Tires North America distributes from three warehouses in the U.S. — Dublin, Ga., Reno, Nev., and Stow — with factory-direct pricing in both container-direct and warehouse programs.
