SONGKHLA, Thailand — Apollo Tyres Ltd. has enhanced its commercial truck tire business, inaugurating its first Apollo Truck Tyre Zone (ATTZ) in Thailand with retreader Ten Ten Auto Tyres Co. Ltd.
ATTZ, located in the HatYai District in Songkhla Province, will have modern tools and "one-stop solution services," according to the Indian tire maker.
Apollo provided modern equipment to the center, including a steel bar bender machine, a wheel alignment machine for cars and trucks, an automatic tire changer and wheel balancing machine. Apollo said the equipment will help enhance Ten Ten Auto Tyres's service performance for cars and buses, while reducing maintenance costs of vehicles serviced through improved fuel consumption.
Satish Sharma, president of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa for Apollo, said his company "is committed to providing the best products and services to our consumers. This integrated ATTZ center brings together the strong partnership between Apollo Tyres and Ten Ten Auto Tyres, which has 30 years of extensive experience in truck services, and is well-known among truck owners in the southern region of the country."
Shubhro Ghosh, group head of Middle East and Africa, said Apollo has seen steady growth potential in Hat Yai, a strategically important logistics area in the southern region of Thailand.
"The launch of ATTZ will help us cope with growth in commercial fleets and increasing demand in radial tyres, as our prices are more affordable, together with our quality products," Mr. Ghosh said.
Apollo chose Ten Ten Auto Tyres, which has been in business for more than 40 years, because of its "expertise and professionalism in providing services," to unveil Thailand's first integrated ATTZ for truck customers in the region."
Apollo said it plans to open more such outlets in the future.
Apollo has marketed radial tires for commercial truck and bus fleets in Thailand since 2013. The tire maker said it is focusing on reducing overall tire costs for local operators, while producing and developing quality products and providing after-sales support and service.
Apollo's truck-bus radial tires (TBR) are available in 17 models for a variety of weather or road conditions. The sizes include fitments for buses, mixer trucks and dump trucks for construction.
Ten Ten Auto Tyres also operates dealerships and distribution and service centers for trucks and passenger vehicle tires.
Apollo said the collaboration is "a commitment of offering the best products and services, and elevating service standards for commercial fleets ... together with Ten Ten's expertise in auto tires, this would be a win-win situation. "
