GREENVILLE, S.C. — Michelin North America Inc. will raise prices for the third time this year, announcing that Michelin-, BFGoodrich- and Uniroyal-branded passenger and light truck replacement tires in the U.S. and Canada will increase up to 6%.
In addition, on- and off-road commercial tires will increase up to 13%. Both increases are effective July 1.
Michelin said the increases were due "to market conditions."
Michelin said price changes may vary across specific products within each brand portfolio.
The French tire maker said it will present more details to dealers, fleets, end-users and commercial equipment manufacturers by June 1. Questions may be directed through account managers.
On April 1, Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal passenger and light truck tires in the U.S. and Canada rose by up to 8%, while on Feb. 1, Michelin- and BFGoodrich-brand passenger and light truck tires in the U.S. increased by up to 5%.
