NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Americas Inc. will increase prices up to 8% for select Bridgestone, Firestone and Fuzion passenger and light truck tires sold in the U.S and Canada on July 1.
In addition, Bridgestone will increase prices on certain Bridgestone commercial truck tires and Bandag retreads in select channels.
The new pricing will include adjustments at the article and pattern level, the tire maker said, adding that the Bridgestone consumer and commercial tire sales teams are contacting customers to provide more detailed information about the changes.
This is the third price increase Bridgestone has issued on passenger/light truck tires this year. The tire maker hiked prices on "select" Bridgestone- and Firestone-brand passenger and light truck in the U.S. and Canada by up to 8% on May 1, citing "increased business costs and other market dynamics.
The company increased consumer tire prices by an undisclosed amount on Jan. 1.
On the commercial side, the tire maker previously hiked prices on Firestone-brand truck and bus tires in the U.S. and Canada by up to 8% on May 1 and on Bridgestone-brand truck and bus radial tires and Bandag retreads in the U.S. and Canada by up to 8% on April 1.
