BOWIE, Md. – The Tire Industry Association (TIA) board has elected Keith Jarman, president of AME International in Brooksville, Fla., as secretary, putting him line to become president in 2023-24, according to TIA's rules governing succession.
A TIA board member for nine of the past 12 years, Mr. Jarman chairs the board's membership committee.
"It's an honor to be recognized by my peers," Mr. Jarman said. "I've had the pleasure of watching the association help to transform the tire industry and I'm looking forward to joining a great group on our executive board during the next four years."
Mr. Jarman founded AME in 2007 after spending 14-plus years in the tire equipment industry. The company supplies tire service tools, accessories and shop equipment globally, including a range of tire changing tools and accessories. AME regularly participates and supports TIA training out in the field, the association said.
"He has consistently supported TIA's training programs for years, is a generous sponsor of our events and programs and brings a wealth of experience to the position, including as a long-time board member and successful businessman," TIA CEO Roy Littlefield said.
"He has his pulse on the industry and the needs of TIA's 13,000 members, including independent tire dealers, suppliers and manufacturers."
Mr. Jarman will begin his year as secretary in November and will move through the various officer positions until he becomes president.
