GAINESVILLE, Ga. — BL Systems/CEMB USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Italian car repair equipment maker CEMB S.p.A., has hired tire industry veteran David Martin to be its chief operating officer.
Mr. Martin, an executive with American Tire Distributors Inc. for 13 years, will replace Jeffrey Jobe, who will retire Sept. 1 from BL Systems after a four-year tenure as general manager.
A former president of the Tire Industry Association, Mr. Martin brings more than 20 years of automotive aftermarket sales management and marketing experience to the job. He only recently joined Montreal-based Martin Industries Inc. as its U.S. market sales and marketing adviser.
Mr. Martin will relocate to Gainesville, where CEMB USA is headquartered. .
He also worked for TBC Corp., Hennessy Industries and Accu-Turn before joining ATD in 2008.
