CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Jessica Holbrook has joined the Tire Business editorial staff as digital content editor, responsible for overseeing web and social media sites for the publication. She also will support data research and serve as a reporter on the Tire Business staff.
"I am excited not only for Jessica and our team at Tire Business, but also for our readers," Tire Business Editor Don Detore said. "Jessica is a seasoned journalist who brings a wealth of talent to our staff.
"As she learns the tire industry, I'm looking forward to the contributions she will make in promoting and enhancing our digital footprint. She is a fantastic addition to our publication."
Ms. Holbrook, a 2010 graduate of Ohio University, is returning to Crain Communications Inc. after an eight-year absence. She was a reporter in 2012-13 for Plastics News, a sister publication of Tire Business. Both are part of Crain's Global Polymer Group.
"I'm excited to continue my career at Tire Business and rejoin the Crain family," she said.
Ms. Holbrook spent eight years as a reporter at the Canton Repository in Canton Ohio, where she covered a multitude of subjects, including health care, government and cat fashion shows. She also spent time as a business reporter.
She most recently was editor-in-chief of The Devil Strip, a community-owned local news magazine in Akron that ceased publishing earlier this year.
Ms. Holbrook resides in Akron with her husband David and daughter Lydia.
