AKRON — Goodyear has elected Cisco Systems Inc. executive Hera Kitwan Siu to its board of directors to fill a seat vacated by Michael Morell in late May.
Ms. Hera, CEO, greater China for Cisco Systems since 2017, becomes the third female member of Goodyear's board of directors.
Goodyear Chairman, CEO and President Richard Kramer called Ms. Hera a "dynamic and transformative leader who has spent her career breaking new ground, launching innovative go-to-market strategies and growing companies" and said her "extensive technology background and deep knowledge of the China marketplace will be extremely valuable to the company and its shareholders."
She joined Cisco in 2016 as the chief operating officer for the company's business in China. Prior to that she was senior vice president and managing director, Greater China, for Pearson L.L.C. for two years, and spent four years with SAP SE, the global software and data processing firm, before that.
Mr. Morell, a former CIA senior official and board member since 2014, resigned from the board to provide unnamed 2020 presidential candidates with advice on national security issues, Goodyear announced May 29.
