LAS VEGAS — The members of the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) have elected Doug Brown, vice president product management and engineering of Vehicle Service Group, as chairman of the group's board of directors,
Members also re-elected Gary Wainwright of Weco Inc. to the board as the associate class representative. The moves were made at the lift safety organization's annual meeting in Las Vegas on Oct. 31.
The ALI board of directors includes representatives of vehicle lift manufacturer members, as well as a representative elected by the ALI Associate Class, which comprises organizations performing vehicle lift inspections with at least one ALI Certified Lift Inspector on staff.
Brown, who's been with VSG/Rotary Lift since 2006, is serving his first one-year term as chairman, the ALI said. Wainwright will serve his second non-consecutive two-year term.
Other members of the board are: Jeff Kritzer of BendPak Inc.; Brian Spikes of Challenger Lifts; Allan Pavlick of Stertil-Koni; Gary DiAngelo of Total Automotive Lifting Solutions; Stet Schanze of Gray Manufacturing Co.; and ALI President R.W. O'Gorman.
Cortland, N.Y.-based ALI's mission is to promote the safe design, construction, installation, service, inspection and use of automotive lifts.
