KENNESAW, Ga. — TireHub L.L.C., the Bridgestone Americas/Goodyear tire distribution joint venture, has relocated its Atlanta-area distribution center to Kennesaw, Ga., from Lawrenceville, Ga.
TireHub said the Kennesaw location increases TireHub's delivery radius in the Atlanta metropolitan area, strengthening the company's offerings in West Atlanta and surrounding areas. Kennesaw is a city of about 35,000 inhabitants located 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta near the I-75/I-575 junction.
The Kennesaw location will hold 65,000 tires and employ 20 logistics specialists.
TireHub's distribution centers in Norcross, Ga., and Chattanooga, Tenn., will serve customers in North Georgia, the company said.
"As we expanded our operations over the past three years, our primary focus has always been on the needs of our dealers and their customers," Sylvia Wilks, vice president, operations, said. .
"With close proximity to the Interstate 75 corridor, our Kennesaw location will benefit our customers by providing them with speedier delivery cadences, increased efficiency and better overall customer service."
TireHub launched in July 2018 and operates 71 distribution centers in the U.S.
