ATLANTA — Tire Discounters added three outlets in the Atlanta metro area in recent weeks, including one by acquisition, expanding the dealership's footprint there to 14 locations and to 194 points of sale overall.
The acquisition was the Loganville outlet of University Tire, an Athens, Ga.-based independent dealership with three remaining outlets.
The location acquired is a 10-bay facility on the near north side of Loganville, a community of 10,000-plus residents situated about 35 miles east of downtown Atlanta.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The other two new locations are a greenfield-construction store in Woodstock, a city of 33,000 residents located 33 miles north of Atlanta, and a converted car dealership in Conyers, a city of 15,000-plus east of Atlanta.
Both locations offer automotive glass repair under the Chip's Auto Glass umbrella and ADAS services carried out by AGRSS-certified technicians, in addition to Tire Discounters' normal portfolio of automotive repair and tire-related services.
"The greater Atlanta area is a strategic market for us as we continue to expand our business," Tire Discounters President and CEO Jamie Ward said.
"We are excited to expand our Tire Discounters family to this great city, and to provide the outstanding service here that our customers have come to know and trust."
Cincinnati-based Tire Discounters said it is planning to open a second Mudder Trucker-branded outlet in the Atlanta area later this spring.
