DAMARISCOTTA, Maine — A special day of activities is planned as Sullivan Tire and Auto Service hosts the grand reopening of its location in Damariscotta on Aug.26.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ice cream and refreshments will be served, and face painting will be available. The dealership will also have giveaways.
Guests will have a chance to enter to win a 'Boston Bruins Prize Pack,'' which features four tickets to a Bruins game, hotel stay in Boston and a Charlie Coyle autographed jersey.
Local officials will kick off the celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 25.
Sullivan Tire Vice President Paul Sullivan said his dealership is "thrilled at how the renovation came out. We love the Damariscotta area and look forward to serving the community for years to come."
The community is welcome to stop by throughout the day to tour the renovated facility and enjoy special deals on tires and auto service.
The renovated five-bay facility in Coastal Maine features a new waiting area and bathrooms and a complete tire and auto service capabilities. Sullivan also repaved the parking area and added new drains. The renovation included new interior and exterior paint, new glass, new awnings, new bay signs and new exterior safety posts.
The shop has eight employees.
Sullivan declined to discuss financial details.
Norwell, Mass.-based Sullivan Tire and Auto Service has 78 retail locations; 18 commercial truck centers; 14 wholesale distribution satellite locations; two truck tire retread plants; two LiftWorks facilities; and three distribution centers.
Sullivan has 1,300 employees, with locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maine.
