WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service franchisee Brian Morrison has opened an outlet in Winston-Salem, his second location in North Carolina and the first SpeeDee in Winston-Salem.
Mr. Morrison, who also owns SpeeDee locations in Charlotte, N.C., and Spartanburg, S.C., said he has plans to expand into additional Mid-Atlantic markets. In all there are six SpeeDee locations in North Carolina.
The new location is a former Scottie's Muffler store about six miles north of downtown Winston-Salem, has eight service bays and a lobby outfitted with rocking recliners, bottled water and a coffee bar, along with entertainment available on a 75-inch TV.
Mr. Morrison said he and his Winston-Salem team are looking forward "to delivering on the same, outstanding service we deliver at our other locations – service that SpeeDee has been known for throughout the country for more than 40 years.”
Franchisor SpeeDeeWorldwide L.L.C is a subsidiary of FullSpeed Automotive of Greenwood Village, Colo.
SpeeDee President and COO Wes Stephenson noted that the new location will adhere to SpeeDee's Total Trust Guarantee, which allows customers to track what is happening with their car through live cameras in the service bays, large lobby windows, and open bay doors.
"The transparency even extends to pricing, where all costs are shown clearly before any work is performed," he added.
SpeeDee has more than 150 stores across the U.S., primarily in markets in the Gulf Coast, Texas, Mid-Atlantic, California, New England, Atlanta and Las Vegas.
