CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tire-servicing materials and equipment supplier Rubber Inc. has opened a branch in Charlotte to service the needs of tire dealers throughout the Southeast.
Chicago-based Rubber Inc. distributes wheel weights and balancing materials, tire service equipment, tire repair materials, tire valves and other supplies to the automotive light truck, commercial truck tire and retread industries.
This is the company's fourth distribution center, complementing locations in Chicago, St. Louis and Durand, Wis.
"We believe in servicing the customer through face-to-face consultation, bringing product knowledge and support to our customers," Rubber Inc. President Joseph Maffia said.
"We combine a local sales force with on-hand inventory in four distribution centers and quick and accurate delivery."
"We've been servicing the Southeast for several years and demand has grown each year for our services," Eric Stridde, vice president of sales, said.
"Over the last several years we've added multiple sales team members throughout the southeast and our goal is to continue to expand to meet the expanding needs of the customer."
The new facility is located near the I-485/I-77 junction south of Charlotte. Rubber Inc. has been supplying the tire industry with materials and equipment since 1939.
