FORT PIERCE, Fla. — RNR Tire Express expects to expand its presence in Southeast Florida in a licensing deal with its newest franchise partners, Evan, Ryan and Jeff Mouhalis.
The family, who has development rights for the RNR Tire brand along a 33-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean coastline between Vero Beach and Stuart, said they plan to open 30 RNR Tire Express locations over the next 15 years.
The first store is slated to open in April in Fort Pierce, a city of about 47,000 residents.
The Mouhalises come from a background in the finance space and are partners in Mouhalis Capital Management, a family-owned real estate development and investment company based in Delray Beach, Fla., and founded in 2016.
The company said it has purchased and/or developed $75 million worth of commercial development projects in Florida.
"We spent five years searching for a business opportunity whose culture and commitment to customers was worth getting involved with," Evan Mouhalis, managing partner at Mouhalis Capital Management, said.
"After meeting with the RNR team and learning how the brand has built itself up on the foundation of providing underserved demographics with access to safe and affordable tires and wheels, we knew it was a franchise worth building our footprint with."
Tampa, Fla.-based RNR Tire Express, whose network covers more than 192 franchised retail locations in 29 states, offers lease-to-own payment options for tires and wheels.
"Even decades after the RNR franchise opportunity first launched, our home state momentum hasn't slowed down," Larry Sutton, founder and CEO of RNR Tire Express, said.
"It goes to show that there's no shortage of men and women out there wanting to join our cause and change the lives of the families and communities around them."
