CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rice Tire Co. has expanded its service footprint into central Pennsylvania with the opening of a tire sales and service center in Camp Hill, a suburb of Harrisburg.
The new center, located adjacent to a larger industrial building in central Camp Hill, will serve customers through central Pennsylvania, including Carlisle, Lancaster, York and surrounding areas.
The 9,000-sq.-ft., three-bay facility is Fredrick, Md.-based Rice Tire's first outlet in Pennsylvania and 13th service center overall.
Camp Hill is a borough of about 8,000 residents that's considered part of the Harrisburg-Carlisle metropolitan statistical area.
The new outlet expands Rice Tire's service capabilities along Interstates 81 and 83 and Pennsylvania State Route 15, all north-to-south corridors that connect the Camp Hill location to existing Rice Tire locations in Maryland and Virgina.
The location will be run by Joe Gillis, store manager, and overseen by Bart Proper, regional manager. The location opens with nine employees.
Rice Tire sells Continental-, Falken-, Galaxy-, General-, Goodyear- and Michelin-brand tires, among others. The company also operates two Goodyear-system retread plants.
The expansion is Rice Tire's first since January 2022 when the dealership acquired the service center and tire business division of American Fleet Services in Ashland, Va.
