CENTERTON, Ark. – Plaza Tire Service has opened its 14th Arkansas location Feb. 5 with a new store in Centerton.
The more than 6,500-square-foot new-build shop is the 78th Plaza Tire location overall. It has eight service bays for tire installations and repairs, wheel balancing, alignments, brakes, shock and strut replacements, oil changes, battery replacements, and other services, according to a press release.
Sun Auto Regional Vice President Steve Powell said consumers in Arkansas already know Plaza's reputation for jobs "done with care and quality."
"With this new location, we're not just expanding our footprint — we're making it easier for people in Centerton to get the top-notch service Plaza Tire is known for," Powell said. "We've got a hardworking team ready to roll up their sleeves and serve this community."
The new location is one of five new stores Plaza has opened in the past couple of months. It follows new outlets iin Paragould, Ark.; Quincy, Ill.; and Evansville, Ind., all in late 2024, as well as the acquisition of American Tire & Wheel in Hot Springs, Ark.
Plaza Tire Service is based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and was founded in 1963 by Vernon "Pee Wee" Rhodes. In addition to shops in Arkansas and Missouri, Plaza has stores in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
It is an affiliate of Sun Auto Tire & Service, which has 513 locations across the country after its recent acquisition of American Tire & Wheel in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
