GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Leeds West Groups (LWG) has acquired the real estate of a Midas location it operates in Iowa and a Big O Tires site in Oklahoma, bringing to 45 the number of such purchases it has made in the past 24 months.
LWG purchased the real estate for the Big O Tires outlet it operates in Enid, Okla., from Ciampi O Tires L.L.C., and that of the Midas outlet in Clive, Iowa, from SJM Realty Inc.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
LWG acquired the franchise rights to the Midas business in Clive in 2017 from Auto Systems Experts, and for the Big O Tires store in Enid in early 2021 from MFA Oil. These latest deals are LWG's sixth real estate transaction in Oklahoma and 13th in Iowa.
Overall, LWG operates 122 franchised tire/auto maintenance stores in the U.S. — including 83 Midas and 39 Big O locations in 18 states — making it one of the 10 largest such independent operators in the nation, according to Tire Business research.
Greenwood Village-based LWG describes itself as a "management platform" capitalized by Family Office funds, whose automotive division acquires, owns and manages automotive repair franchise brands, including Big O Tires, Midas, and SpeeDee Oil, throughout the U.S.
