HIGH RIDGE, Mo. — Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers Inc. has opened a retail store in Columbia, it 43rd location overall and first in the city.
The new location is located on Vandiver Drive in northern Columbia, a city of 125,000-plus residents in central Missouri. The greenfield retail outlet employs 15 and encompasses 12,000 square feet, which includes 12 tire and automotive service bays, a large showroom and a customer waiting area.
The opening represents a significant leap westward for High Ridge-based Dobbs. The next nearest outlet is in Wentzville, 84 miles east of Columbia.

Since its founding with a single store in 1976, family-owned Dobbs Tire has grown to employ more than 600 associates and 43 locations in Missouri and southern Illinois.
