FREMONT, Neb. — Bauer Built Inc. has completed an expansion at its Bauer Built Tire & Service Center in Fremont, adding 6,000 square feet "to better service customers."
The additional space includes two additional drive-in commercial bays; a commercial alignment pit; an above-ground hoist for light truck repair services; and three loading docks, according to Wade Brantner, director of property. The parking lot also was paved with concrete.
The facility, one of seven Bauer commercial tire locations in Nebraska, now offers such services as alignments; brake and wheel end repairs; and expanded storage for commercial truck and farm/ag tires that the company said is a key component of the business in the Fremont market.
The amount of the investment in the project was not disclosed.
Tad Bauer, president of Durand-based Bauer Built, said "the expansion at our Fremont facility enhances our capabilities to better service our customers."
The Fremont facility continues to offer truck tires from Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Michelin Retreads, Continental, General, Galaxy and Cooper, while providing commercial mechanical services, 24/7 emergency truck and farm tire service, commercial wheel refinishing and mounted wheel services for fleet customers.
Bauer Built, ranked 11th among North American commercial dealerships in 2019 with $201.6 million in commercial sales according to Tire Business research, was founded in 1944 by G. F. "Sam" Bauer.
It operates 35 tire and service centers, one wholesale division, two distribution centers, six Michelin retread plants and two wheel-refinishing operations, across nine Midwest states.
