MILAN, Italy — Pirelli & C. S.p.A. has appointed Wang Feng, a Chinese tire and rubber industry veteran, as a board director, replacing Bai Xinping ,who resigned his position last month.
Wang, a senior vice president with China Rubber Association (CRIA), will join the Pirelli board as a non-executive member and will be part of three committees of remuneration, nominations/succession, and strategies.
Besides his role with CRIA, Wang has been serving as the chair of Sinochem-owned tire and rubber products subsidiary China National Tire & Rubber Co. (CNRC) since December 2022.
In January, Wang stepped down from his position as the CEO of Aeolus Tyre due to work needs, but remains chairman of Aeolus and Prometeon Tyre Group.
He graduated from Qingdao University of Science and Technology majoring in polymer materials processing machinery and also holds an MBA from China Europe International Business School.
