AUBURN, Maine —VIP Tires & Service has promoted Bob Guptill, a VIP store manager since 2020, to market manager.
Guptill will continue to manage a retail store in Auburn while also overseeing two stores in Lewiston, Maine.
Guptill, a native of Maine, previously was manager in training and store manager in Auburn. He is an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician and has 14 ASE certifications. According to VIP, he was trained at the dealership's locations in Scarborough, Maine, and Yarmouth, Mass., en route to his current position.
VIP President and CEO Tim Winkeler said the dealership excels in customer service "because of high-achieving employees like Bob Guptill. Over the years, Bob has become a true leader at VIP, not only managing our Auburn store, but also taking the time to develop professionally as an ASE Master Technician."
Winkeler said Guptill is passionate about management and customer service, and his team "looks forward to seeing him lead and grow as a VIP employee for many more years to come."
Privately owned VIP, based in Auburn, operates 70 locations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.
