WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has chosen Anne Forristall Luke, president and CEO of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), as chair of the NAM's Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA).
Ms. Luke's election to the council chair position was announced at the CMA 2020 Winter Leadership Conference in West Palm Beach in early January.
Robb MacKie, president and CEO of the American Bakers Association, will be the council's vice chair.
Comprising more than 200 industry-specific manufacturing associations, the CMA is an assembly of manufacturers and a key partner of the NAM, the association said.
Ms. Luke, USTMA president and CEO since 2016, brings more than 35 years of experience in executive leadership, public affairs and government relations experience to the CMA, the NAM said.
As head of the USTMA, she has led a rebranding effort to enhance the tire industry's strategy and vision. She also has seen USTMA membership grow to a dozen companies with U.S. tire manufaturing capacity from eight.
"Anne is the consummate advocate for manufacturers, unfailingly reliable, focused and determined," Jay Timmons, NAM President and CEO said.
