CINCINNATI — Tire Discounters has promoted Charles Curlee to senior vice president, chief operations officer.
Curlee will lead Tire Discounters and its subsequent brands' operations, support the organization's strategy and drive business performance goals, according to the family-owned dealership.
Curlee began his career at Tire Discounters as a regional manager seven years ago. The company said he has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, including time at family-owned Kauffman Tire, which is based in Atlanta.
Curlee will remain based in Atlanta. Tire Discounters said the U.S. Marine Corps veteran has been instrumental in Tire Discounters' expansion in the area, which now includes 20 Tire Discounters retail stores and five Butler Tire stores in the greater Atlanta area.
Jamie Ward, president and CEO of Cincinnati-based Tire Discounters, said Curlee will "drive our operational excellence and strategic growth."
