CINCINNATI — Tire Discounters has made a pair of executive appointments, naming Michael Sarow as head of marketing and Jonathan Burns as vice president of category management.
"These new leaders have an eye on the future, and their addition will help Tire Discounters continue its incredible growth," Tire Discounters CEO Jamie Ward said.
"We are more than tires, and the creativity and collaboration from Mike and Jonathan will help fuel our next level of success."
Sarow joined Tire Discounters in May as senior director of marketing in May, while Burns joined the Cincinnati-based dealership earlier this month.
Prior to joining Tire Discounters, Sarow was marketing director at Russel Stover Chocolates L.L.C. Tire Discounters describes him as "classically trained" marketer with a diverse background in omnichannel marketing, brand management, digital content strategy, e-commerce and product innovation.
Burns brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new position. He moves to Tire Discounters from Les Schwab Tire Centers, where he was vice president of purchasing for two years. Prior to that he spent 18-plus years with Discount Tire/America's Tire in various purchasing-related roles.
Tire Discounters is considered the seventh largest independent retail tire dealership in the U.S., with almost 200 locations in eight states: Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia.
