RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Sumitomo Rubber North America (SRNA) has promoted two of its executives to new sales director positions — Cliff Stewart for passenger car and light truck tires and Sam Williams for commercial truck tires.
Stewart has more than 23 years of experience in the automotive industry, with roles in business development, marketing, original equipmenbt sales management and sales and purchasing. He has been with SRNA for nine years and spent nine months as director of commercial truck tires, where he "learned the replacement side of the business, building relationships with customers, and creating new disciplines within (the team)," SRNA said.
"Cliff has been tremendous in leading the commercial truck tire segment," SRNA CEO and President Darren Thomas said. "I have full confidence he will continue to deliver great results and enthusiasm in his new role."
Williams has spent more than 30 years in the automotive aftermarket, with experience in sales, store management, multi-unit management, business development, marketing, operations, buying, merchandising, strategic planning and vendor relations.
In his eight years at SRNA, he's held various roles, most recently as commercial truck tire national sales manager, and has been a "top performer," the company said.
"While I am always excited to see people promoted, I am especially happy about Sam getting this well-deserved promotion," Rick Brennan, vice president of strategic planning, said.
"I have no doubt that he will continue his track-record of success."
